Recalling the Memory

My book Recalling the Memory is a collection about the relationship between memories and objects, it is a record of personal memories, and sensory experiences explored in reading. In this book, each page has been carefully designed to guide the reader back to the memory with different sensory elements. Thermal materials are used throughout the book so that touch becomes a way of awakening memories. This interactive approach increases the level of reading and makes the book itself ‘warm’, creating a deeper emotional connection with the reader. In addition, NFC technology is embedded in the book, allowing readers to scan specific pages with their electronic devices to unlock additional content, such as audio stories, old photos or personalised messages. This combination of digital and physical makes the book an immersive container of memories, allowing fragments of the past to be re-experienced in a multi-sensory way. Category Tactical Publishing
